To those interested in supporting the Bad Date Coalition:
We are not funded by any government body, organization or agency and work collaboratively as a collective. In July 2008, we became incorporated and formed our first Board of Directors. In the bylaws, it states that in order to be a member of the coalition, an agreement must be signed and an annual fee will be collected by the Board. In return, that member will receive monthly updates of the Bad Date Book, meeting minutes, any community announcements of events, news, actions and campaigns related to sex work. In addition, after one year of membership, each individual/agency member will have one vote at our Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The agreement (see link below) must be signed by the person who will be responsible for attending meetings, securing and paying the membership fee, and/or communicating with the Board. The annual fee is based on the size of the organization a member is affiliated with. Where there is more than one person from the same agency, a membership fee need only be paid once. If the member is an individual, the fee is ‘pay what you can’.

Membership fee schedule:

Small agency with less than 20 staff                   $20
Medium agency with between 20-50 staff          $50
Large agency with over 50 staff                          $100
